You just wanted to show your new tires and wheels. You could include that in your title rather than scam the board.

I started this post so people can post anything they done to their car. What scam? Are you serious this is just a regular neutral post of anyones car. Whatever you're going through personally keep that to yourself you can start your own Thread about it. And see who really care's what your going through.
People like you ruin it for the site. People like me just want to enjoy their car with the information about it online. People don't want the garbage you're putting out. Kick rocks......

I bought my first 944 88.5 in 1988. I now have 7, 4 street 3 race. Needless to say I love these cars. What I did for my cars today was read Rennlist for ideas and the enjoyment of seeing what others have done with their cars. The OP is exactly in that spirit and I appreciate his post and pictures. Thanks for posting. You should be justifiably proud of your car! BTW there is a thread in the water cooled section which is almost identical. Please keep posting.

I upgraded to the late style

used Racer's Edge Delrin Bushing for control arm front bushings

SamGrant951 : I like the way the Continental Extreme Contact Tires feel and handle. They r the best in my experience the best all around all season tires. From my driving environment, a tire is only good if it can perform on wet roads with little hydroplane and skidding. And since i Live by Angeles Crest hwy, I go canyon driving all the time all year long. Another key point is i can buy all 4 tires mounted with road hazard warranty for around $850 @ pepboys out the door. They usually have a sale for buy 2 tires get 15% off, this is perfect for me since my tires r staggered and they will plug ur tire free @ any pepboys. most deals want u to buy all 4 tires at the same model and size.

It's raining here in California

Jon951 : How r the solid state DME relays ? they cost around $45 each? I wonder how long they really last. most electronics in new ideas have cheap electronic guts and r very sensitive to voltage spike and end up burning out. I hope u have good luck with those. I just carry the basic oem relay as a spare.

replaced my windshield wipers with a Michelin set from Walmart for almost $6 each

replaced rear one too

wet roads

here is a quick view of my view

lucky i had a spare trans for parts, this screw goes to the linkage shifter rod to attach and secure it top the trans. my shifter kept getting loose and i would re tighten but after shifts through the day it would get loose again. you can seee the tip worn the goes in a dimple on the trans shaft rod, now my shifter is tight since i already put a new shifter rod in.

here is some stuff i used when i rebuilt most of my car already

new steering and suspension stuff

nice gauges

random parts

old engine condition

old engine condition

old engine condition

new plastic oil pan baffle fits both early and late year style

new engine rebuild

new engine rebuild

sorry i went crazy with the pictures i know pictures speak a thousand words. I know there is people like me to busy to do write up's but want to just offer what information we have to share on to others.

great work and love the new parts. maybe make a build thread for your car? word of caution with headers wrap and turbine wrap, make sure there are no oil leaks that will soak up the wraps, it will catch fire. also, many have said wrapping the turbine housing will reduce life of turbo due to keeping heat in the housing, rather than letting it out. Ive done the same wrap on the downpipe and cross over though. keep up the good work and enjoy your build!

Fracocorps
I'm in CA and won't be back to GA for a couple of weeks to install the new solid state DMEs. They were recommended to me be a highly trusted source, Refresh951. It looks like I'll now be carrying 2 spare mechanical DMEs in each car. Lol. I'll report back in six months.
