Default Stage one upgrades!!!

Don't know if anyone is interested but I started upgrades today. Installing rothsports one piece billet shifter, fd motorsports golden rod, custom muffler, stainless steel brake lines, walrod bushings, koini yellows with purple h&r lowering springs, hid headlight converson, michelin pilot super sports, rennline strut bar, modified air box, lloyd floor mats, redlinegoods alcantara shift boot, rennline fully adjustable gas pedal and maybe some other stuff I'm forgetting right now. If anyone is interested I will continue posting about the upgrade process.

Are you kidding? We love to hear about upgrades I as well have the Rothsport shifter mated with the golden rod, bought it all from FD years ago. I love the feel and weight of the shifter, it's awesome! Enjoy those upgrades!

Upgrade stories are always awesome. Especially when you do them yourself in a proper garage.

I'm really happy about all the interest in the build To answer some questions, yes I did get the whole shift gear from FD, I'm doing the upgrades in a friends shop, he will be doing most of the work but when I'm not busy with classes I'll be attempting to help and finally Montana is an incredible place, not sure if you are actually moving to Montana Foxman but if you are, the views are incredible!

Got the floor mats from autoanything as they had free shipping and I was able to find a discount code for their website. With the Porsche logos and the premium vinyl piping and all four mats I was able to get them for $150 with the coupon. The Porsche logo is different then I have had it on previous mats as it is not sticked in but more sown in like a patch. I have come around to liking it more because I think it will hold up better than the other ones and should be easier to vacuum up.

Those are Lloyd's "Lux" mats. A great deep pile floor mat, the best they make. Unfortunately you can't get any of the custom Carrera logos in that mat. I recently sold a gently used pair of lux mats. https://rennlist.com/forums/parts-ma...-lux-mats.html

Here's a photo of the lux mats, and also a glimpse of a custom "Carrera" mat that Darin ordered for me from Lux. Darin at FD Motorsport is very knowledgeable on the Lux mats and can assist with any custom orders. You simply can't order these on line and need to go through Darin.

Oh, and not really moving to Montana. Just quoting Frank Zappa.

Lloyd's Lux Mats

Here's the Carrera logo from Lloyd's in a custom thread (matches zenith blue) ordered from Darin at FD Motrorport (wide ovals not included)

Very nice!

Question for everyone-How does the FD Goldenrod work in conjunction with a Stock Shifter?

Looking to install that on my C4..

Fine, but you need to adjust the front connecting rod. Actually GR makes a big difference. I opted not to do SSK, as it's a pain to install and it makes little difference. Replace plastic cups on the front rod when you do this. FD can include them.

Thanks NYC993.

I wanted to sharpen up the shifting action but not to the point where it can feel notchy and difficult to engage gears when you are shifting the gears rapidly as many SSK's seem to exhibit in my previous experience with them..
