Default Front Windshield Seal Pic Needed

So I had my front windshield replaced yesterday and they left the one piece seal straight at the bottom front corners and there is a small gap next to the second piece seal that runs along the bottom, see pic below. I don't remember what it looked like before replacement. Can a kind soul snap a pic of theirs and/or let me know if this is correct? At first blush, I think they should have rounded it so sits flush with the second seal? FYI, all those dots are pollen!

Well, didn't take a picture but I did look. The bottom seal meets the pillar seal precisely and at the same angle as the pillar seal. Therefore, that is incorrect and the gap should not be there. Hope that helps. Get with your window installer and have them correct that because otherwise water/debris will get into someplace it is not supposed to.

I think it's ok. The bottom gasket attaches to the plastic cowl on one side and to the bottom of the windshield on the other side. It doesn't necessarily need to go all the way to the end horizontally. The windshield glue should protect you from the elements. The bottom rubber gasket piece should not be glued to the cowl. Its held in place by being pressed into a groove in the cowl. I would have asked for a new gasket as he may have used the old one (this the glue).

Thanks guys, the gasket is new from the Porsche dealer, as is the glass. If anyone can snap a pic and text it (just pm me for my cell), I would be very appreciative. I'd love to see what it looks like from the factory.

I think mine may be a non-factory seal...

This the corner of my '03 996 cab... it's the original OEM window too.

Hope this helps.

Many thanks B3freak! Looks like mine is close but not quite as tight as it maybe should be.
