Is this 1994 964 C2 Coupe widebody worth the price $75000?
Found this 39,589miles 1994 Porsche 911 2 Coupe 964 wide body on eBay. Would like to learn experts' opinions about the price.

One of the photo makes me worry. Does that dark color on chassis state a leak?

First of all it isn't a wide body it is a stock C2. If it were a 94 C4 Wide body it would be a bargain at the asking price.
They only made 140 US spec C2's so it is the last year of the 964 and quite rare. The problem is this car has very low miles but still too many for a true collector.
He started at $89k IIRC and has slowly dropped the price. I think that might have hurt the sale when a car lingers for too long people begin to ignore them.
I don't see why this car shouldn't bring at least $70k and possibly more. The dark splotches on the underside of the engine are cosmoline. A protectant sprayed on by the factory to keep salt air from attacking the undercarriage during transport. This stuff has a tendency to pick up dirt and grease but can be cleaned or removed.
The issues I see with this car is the seats have been dyed and it was not a good job. The color match is all wrong and detracts from the value. The other possible issue is the Xm radio. If it is drilled into the ashtray that would be an issue but not major. It would need a thorough PPI. The car is quite dirty underneath for the mileage but that could mean nothing. Also why wouldn't you at least clean the engine bay and try to fix the sound deadening pad if you're going to ask top dollar. A simple cleaning with a wet rag would have made it look much better.
Seller does not state it's a wide body. Looks like a very clean, low mileage car and these are more rare to find.
Dark stuff is most likely a protective coating. Easily removed. Engines are bulletproof.
No affiliation. Was drawn by C2 Widebody for 75K. Would have been the deal of the month :-)
I have about the same auto with 22K. I just recently removed the engine cover. I'm almost certain that the brown discoloration on the motor case is factory applied undercoat from when new. There may be some damage to the very lower edge of the LHS fender, but otherwise the car looks unmolested.
I'm not impressed with low mileage 964's. Why pay a premium when you can get a well maintained car around or under 100,000 miles for much less. My 100,000 mile car looks better than that 40,000 mile car. That interior is not appealing.
