Three Wheelin'
Didn't love the yellow covers I got from eBay. They are some sort of metallic yellow, not speed yellow, not racing yellow, so I didn't bother installing them.

Ordered a set from Amazon, delivery stated April 1-14, so I guess everything with this car requires patiently waiting Hopefully it will be a close match to SB.

Ordered red from eBay. We'll see....
Mine is Agate Gray with red accents so I thought it might be fun to have a key that matches the accent color especially since gray isn't available and I don't really care about having a gray key. Red is also easier to find in a bag...

I ordered mine from the Amazon link provided above, and they arrived earlier than expected. I have a SBM car and ordered the 'blue color' option - but be warned - it is anything but SBM!
While still not enamored with paying the Porsche luxury tax on original ones, I will try one other alternative. I will strip these down and buy the spray OEM touch up paint hoping for a near perfect match. If that fails, I'll resort to a set of OE pieces...

Since the red I ordered won't have to match anything on the car I'm not too worried about it. I look at it like a fun accent (same as red stitching / red belts / red cage. As long as it's not an ugly red I'll probably just go with it. If it's UGLY then I'll either toss it, or see how the re-paint project goes and consider that.
Or I'll just go back to my stock black key.

I ordered a red set from here based on some other good reveiws: http://www.ebay.com/itm/381469504344
Delivery was quick and while the red does not match perfectly in person, it is really close. The color is slightly darker, more toward the direction of Carmine, but not all the way. There are some really good installation instructions on the eBay listing. If you follow those, you get access to the two clips that hold the sides on. You can pry them with a small screwdriver as you pull the sides off by hand. This way you are not prying on the outside of the key at all. This reduces the chance of marking up the base part of the key but also gently releases the locking arms and ensures the OEM black sides are not damaged.
Against Guards Red:
Finished product:
These are the locking arms that hold the sides on the base. Put slight outward pressure on the tabs (yellow arrows in image below) with a small screwdriver as you pull the sides off gently with your fingers. Step 8 on the eBay listing shows where to put the screwdriver to access these tabs.

This is the Amazon one against Carmine Red. It's in between Guards and Carmine. Actually a nice compromise - works great for both colors, I think.
