Hey-this is you car and not some one else's. You build it for you. I have a similar build except CR exterior and left the seat belts in black but I have the yellow stitching and calipers. I only care about it making me smile when it finally shows up
Thanks Jimmy-D. You will have the Ronald McDonald car and I have the Candy-Corn car...LOL I agree with you BTW, it is all about how a car makes you the owner feel. I have dubbed mine the Pumpkin 2.0 in honor of my 07' CS in RS Orange which met it's demise at Watkins Glen in 2011. I am liking Gulf Orange better after looking at multiple paint swatches. I almost went Voodoo or Mexico as I love these colors too. In the end, my wife's Targa is SBM so stayed away from another blue car in the stable.
Seriously gorgeous build Roy!! Can't wait to see it. I expect you to bring it along with your track car to all events just so we can gawk at it.
Thanks. In order to bring both cars to LRP, I will need a volunteer driver to and from. I may be able to bring both on Saturday Apr 2 but still working on logistics. On the 2nd, I will run with the Club and also instruct for Hudson PCA. Will you be there?
I am a sucker for orange, would have had mine in Papaya Orange (or perhaps even Glut Orange) if PTS were available, so will have to live vicariously through your experience Hopefully will get to see her on one of the C&Cs. Safe driving!
But it is a GT car at the end of the day and in person it does work. The red would have clashed worse and the silver is a little too non-descript for me for a GT car.
Your analysis is spot on. I find yellow stitching to look the best in pretty much all body colors. Platinum is fine if you want to go for the free thread color. Red stitching depends on the body color but I find it to be dull.
Congrats on this epic build. You have a niche build on a car that is a niche model within a niche car company. Very rare indeed.

No, I'll be there for the unmuffled event on the 5th. Can't wait to see your car. Really happy for you! For those of you who don't know him this car is so quintessentially Roy!!
By far my favorite color yet. Beautiful and congratulations. Although K40 does a very good job, in this case, less is more....it's so gorgeous and different (for GT4), I don't know if i'd do it; however, it can always be changed if you don't like it. Nonetheless, congrats....so jealous. mine just arrived and picking it up Tuesday from dealer (GT Silver), not one of the lucky PTS ones.

Reason: correction
Your car was keeping my car company when I took delivery yesterday ...
OP, congrats! Great color.
Rac10000, great comparison. I have a Guards Red on the way. Amazing how chameleon-like the GR can be. The Gulf Orange really brings out the orange in the GR.
That really came out great. I'm sure the wait felt painful but was worth it in the end. Looking forward to hopefully seeing it on person at some point over the coming months. Congrats.
Thanks everyone for your kind and generous feedback. Yes I am chomping at the bit to take delivery but after a year of waiting...another 4-5 days to get the car perfect isn't too much to ask. It would be awesome if we could organize a day at Lime Rock with as many GT4's as possible in as many colors as possible. Perhaps Pete you have already thought of this and a plan is afoot?
Thanks everyone for your kind and generous feedback.
WOW! Gorgeous, and love the yellow bits inside and out against the orange. Color me jealous . To my eye, Gulf Orange looks better on this car than Lava Orange.
Man, if you took this car and had a professional photographer shoot it in fading light in a cool location, I'll bet you could make bank selling the posters.
