Is the ideal 928 race car for the hard core 80yrs and up racer you get a heart attack and the ambulance is built with the car.

Thanks for posting this Lart. Pic of the LeMons 951 finished in 5th place today. Like our wing? It works so well you can drive it upside down - the front splitter needs much more down force. Two quarts of oil after each driver at around 2 hours each. Original motor, turbo, trans (no lsd) etc. One of the spectators favorite cars at the race. Cracks me up - blast with friends at www.indemotorsports.com

I know - sent from my I phone. Proved while visiting - toilets in Australia don't circle opposite vs US. Just unloaded the RV, Jeff and Justin are driving back to LA hauling their LeMons 951 safely back. Sean found the sunroof on the side of I - 10 following them. It's fine - after some riveting.

LeMons has become the largest amateur - organized racing group in the US. These guys aren't amateurs - over 50% of the entrants are Pro drivers just having a blast with friends. There are some amazing rides purchased for $500 from junkyards - only ugly from the outside. Very competitive - hilarious event - unlimited funds towards safety AFTER spending the mandated $500. This includes everything from brakes to HANS. Tech inspection is same as any sanctioned track event - but tires have to be marked with 200+ wear - true street tires only pass for competition.

Sad part is the 928's are now selling for more than a 951, still no respect for the red-headed stepchild!

Lart seems like you really want a 928, you do pay an awful amt of attention to them.

I made Lart post - felt only he could do that 928 original MASH ambulance justice - she ran the whole race. Hilarious.

Records and condition matter. My friends 93 928 GTS manual is an awesome example - worth the entry fee - his daily is a 2014 911 TT "S" and wife drives a Cayenne Turbo. He still loves to drive the 928, but recently gave it to his son/now law partner. Once driven one, easily one of the finest luxury road cars Porsche built to date. These motors are an engineering feat - even as compared to today's highest end engineering standards.

Still chaps his *** I can pass him - no matter what he's driving when I'm in the 951.
