Do you name your cars? Or just your Porsche?
Hi, just bought our very first Porsche, already shopping to fix it with neglect it suffered through the years. My wife and I are calling it Moby-Dick, 'cause it's white and.. as Captain Ahab, I've been chasing it for years. Always wanted a 964 and nothing but a 964, period...
Please share your monickers, I hope mine is not too campy or already used.
André
p.s. it also has a "tail" (I know, I know, it's not technically a WHALE tail...)

No I don't, but I always thought of my previous race car to be more of a male than a female. The new owners called "her" Maggie (after Margaret Thatcher) and immediately started to have problems. We decided it was due to the sudden change in gender...so be careful

In our house we refer to the cars by their colour rather than name. We have "White Car", a 2013 991S Cab; "Silver Car", a very much modified 2004 996 TT Cab; "Beige Car", a 2012 BMW 650 Cab (also performance improved) and "Red Car, which is a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee which is my wife's driver. License plates on "Silver" are "TOY" and 'White" are "TOYTOO"

There was a white 991 cab with red interior at the VIR Black Rock event a couple of weeks ago. Nice color combination although I'd prefer if Porsche would give you the option to retain the black dash and steering wheel like they do with some of their other color combinations.

That was my 991S Cab (TOYTOO) at Black Rock. We wanted the full red. My wife even wanted the red seatbelts but I opted for black to give some contrast. Went with white dials also for a little contrast there also.

Lots of people have names for their vehicles. My neighbours call their truck 'Dean'. My wife and I decided to call the Porsche 'James'. We do have quite a few conversations about the car, so when we're talking about it around others or in public we call it by it's name. Having to call it 'the Porsche' or 'the 911' feels a little pompous or like we're showing off. 'James' is better.
