Default To heat or not to heat...

The garage, that is, for storing my beloved 911sc for the winter.

Someone recommended so doing for the cold Calgary winter. Garage is insulated...but, is there any need to spend who knows how much to try and keep the temperature at some level above ambient actic, on those cold days?

Thanks inadvance.

All my Porsches seem happy in unheated conditions. Real winter here in Manitoba, not Alta where it gets warm every week or two. Water cooled and 911s/356s. If very humid that is a possible problem. I spray-paint my rotors before winter, in case it gets dewy in spring. Take your battery indoors, and keep it charged. Lots of details in early (06/07) issues of my red River Region PCA newsletters, avail on pca.org.

Don't bother.....if it is insulated, you are over half way there. The solar heat and ambient heat transfer from your house (assuming it is an attached garage) will do a good job keeping it reasonable. True heated garages are harder on cars than cold ones.
