Default Wide body is installed and painted – Big thank you to Rennspa

Guys, I am sure you remember that I lost control of my car turn 7 at Tremblant and finished in the tire wall!
I was not proud… :-(

It was only cosmetic (thanks to the tire wall!) so I considered the different options (repair or fiberglass). I was looking for a paint shop here in Montreal and few Rennsport members referred me to Chris Rouleau as he owns a paint shop called Rennspa. Actually I already knew Chris as a great instructor, a talented driver and more than anything else a very kind person.
So I called Chris and I was immediately contacted by Zaven, Chris partner’s in Rennspa. In the hour Zaven was in my home garage. I have to tell you this guy knows his business and he was able to give me different options and reasonable prices for each option. I was impressed and confident.

After a few weeks of research I decided to take the opportunity to replace the parts with fiberglass and make the car lighter (and wider!).

To make a long story short, I received my parts and started to work in January. After a few week-ends, few dzus fastners and rivets, the fit was good. So, with enough time during our long winter, I decided at the beginning of march to do what I wanted from the beginning, a full front nose. I attached the front bumper, the header panel and the front fenders together. I removed, prepared all of the edges and laminated it with fiberglass from the inside. I have to tell you this kind of job is tricky in a 10x20 garage but I wanted to be able to work close to my family.
Anyway, my plan was to continue the body work, fill the edges with duraglass, sand, fill,… but I realized at the end of march that our winter is not that long when you start this kind of project and my first event is in one month! More than that, I also had to send my car to my mechanic as I had few issues with my engine at the end of the last season (not small issues btw…).
So I decided to contact my mechanic and discovered that he was out of the country for 10 days!
As I had 10 days to focus on my fiber body, filler,… I decided to call Zaven to ask him if he was ok with the different product I wanted to use before the paint (Duraglass, evercoat, primer,..). Zaven decided to come right away to my house. He saw my car, the fiberglass body with brackets everywhere, my 10x20 garage and my tools around and he said: “Cyril, let me finish the car for you!”
What a relief! I was actually a little bit bored and tired of this fiberglass job and I am sure Zaven saw it.
Zaven offered me to pick up the car the same day and to finish it in the 10 days we had before the return of my mechanic. Wow, I was relived and impressed.
Was it realistic: No!
Did they do it: Yes they did it!
The Rennspa team worked days and nights for my project. Zaven asked me to come every day to follow the work and some of you know how picky I am! ;-)
The fiberglass was rough and wavy, they had to reinforce different parts, align, trim, sand,…
Zaven managed his team like a real “Chef d’orchestre” and the job was done in time (10 days!)
More than that, my car is perfect!
Yesterday the car was delivered in time to my mechanic.

Awesome work Zaven with your great team and spirit!

Thank you so much to Chris, Zaven and the Rennspa team!

Non, c'est pas les mêmes vents... Ceux là viennent de DeutchNinem, si je ne me trompe pas.

I went to Ron's garage this morning and he told me how impressed he was when he saw the car coming from Rennspa: "they did a very good job!"
Zaven and your team can be proud!

Thank you Danny!
Right now, I am registered to all of the Tremblant events. I am now considering the Glen and Mostport. :-)
