yeah i heard a guy with a newly bought GT3 crashed in 7 and died. I beleive the gentleman first name was Thomas?
damn that makes you think twice about this hobby. Thoughts are with his family.

It was an off after 6 and he hit the embankment on the left side before 7. He was wearing a Hans, and harnesses and had a roll bar in the car. Impact was on the front and side (passenger).
RIP Thomas.

I was there. This should not have happened. I've seen worse crashes in GT3s and the driver kicked the car and walked away. It really sucked. This was not in the race scheduled for the PM (and cancelled - nobody wanted to do it). Very sad, he was a very nice guy.

I don't want to go too much in details but neck injury i suppose?
Even with all the safety equipement, it still happened. Damn, makes you think twice when you don't even have any of those...

Apparently a broken neck, in spite of wearing a Hans. Lateral impact.
