I am sure you'd want to deal with a local broker, but the Guarantee company is based in Toronto - I am sure the ON market is well served. Been around for 140 years.
Curious to see what happens when Guarantee starts getting a bunch of calls from people looking for auto ins. including DE?
Funny - you could be right! I may have "public serviced" myself out of an insurer by the time this is all done!
In fairrness - there is a market for this type of coverage, and as long as everyone is clear as to what they are getting into... in this case, Chubb or Guarantee (which also has higher-end products) stood the chance of getting a new customer for 2 cars, home, boat, etc. I think that's a pretty fair deal. DE coverage was my motivation - but they are looking at the whole picture.
