Post Race car remake (my Civic race car)

I wanted to share what we are doing to my little race car over the winter. As you may or may not know, I opened up a body shop in NDG called Rennspa and in between jobs I wanted to do a quick update on my Civic.
Out came the B18C5 motor and in will go a K20A with a 6 speed tranny with LSD. We removed some weight (door inserts, wiring harness, etc). Since I have a paint shop at my disposal, I took the time to spray the inside and engine bay white and we will be paiting the outside a bright matte orange (with the great clear that makes it matte...but the finish is still glossy) with the roof and hood grey (our company colors).
Check out the before and after on the inside and what the car looks like at this point. I'll update when we move forward.

According to the RennSpoon CFO....You haven't paid your royalty fees for the name.
If you let me drive it, I'll see if I can talk him out of the fees.
Congrats on the new place.

I have an extra 65 "safety points" in this motor and it will weigh less than last year. I expect mid to low 1:50's (1:54 ish) out of it at lcmt.

they are so cheap to build and so reliable, can't find a better racer car to have fun and not worry about anything. Hooray for Honda as a cheap racer.

Wow! Nice job! I'm looking forward to see the completed car!

I just notices that the rear brakes are solid, non vented ones

I like the look of those shop curtains. What are they, and who sells them?

The curtains you see are part of the prep shop; we sand and prime the cars there are can paint smaller items there. The sander has it's own vacume so it does not get dirty and dusty all over and the booth is a side draft so we can prime and paint small items in there cleanly. It's pretty sweet.
The curtains come from Filco but I'm not sure who actually makes them. I can look for you if you like.

Charles, we have yet to even come close to running out of brakes. Maybe with the new motor...

That last one is quite a sweet photo!

Thanks for the info on the curtains -- that would really help me keep the dust out of the rest of my shop!

Who's this nice Cup at the back?

The red on your mirrors: I need the same on the 924's mirrors!
