Who's going? Watkins Glen is an unbelievable track. Up down left & right. The climbing esses are more fun than even T1,2,3 at Tremblant.
Registration is open on clubregistration.net.
I'm confirmed.

Watkins Glen International is the continuation of a road racing tradition dating back to 1948, when sports cars raced on the 6.6 mile course through the village of Watkins Glen. The permanent road course was built in 1956 and has remained the home of a great racing tradition for 55 years. For more information about the track visit www.theglen.com
The 37th annual version of the Zone 1 48 Hours will consist of “Instructor Day” on Friday, June 17 followed by a traditional DE format on Saturday and Sunday. Come and drive with PCA members from the entire Zone and beyond. PCA National Instructor Training is available on Friday for those who qualify with a referral from their region’s chief instructor. The cost of the event is $260 per entrant. To register for the event, log onto www.clubregistration.net and search for Porsche Club of America (“PCA”), Zone 1. Porsches only.
As always, Registration will open on April 15. At 9:00 AM ET. Payment will be via credit card only through www.clubregistration.net. We are no longer using paypal.

Hey Francois!
LOL, last year my first time driving on the track, in my first session... "orienting" with a Rennsport instructor, my car decided to burst a power steering line... Thankfully it must have happened near the end of the session, as I noticed "the puddle" after.. in the paddock...
Last year my wife and I, along with Peter B. (Kilrwail) and David L. (acadian_dad) stayed at Watkins Glen Motor Inn.... million dollar view overlooking Seneca Lake, but rooms were sub-par.
This year I booked at Seneca Lodge, great bar and restaurant on site. Chris M can fill in how the rooms are, he stayed there last year.
Seneca Lodge
BTW my wife is making trip again this year.
Had your car out much.....having any fun with it?

Ladies,
The Seneca Lodge is somewhat rustic but clean and more than acceptable. The bar and dining room, however, is beyond reproach. I'm staying there.
If you are looking for a great hotel your wife will love book The Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel

cabin, A frame or motel?
... and the "Queen cut" prime rib at Seneca is more than enough for this "lady"
The Harbour Hotel rates, aside from what Chris said, will eat your weekend tire budget for lunch!!

The Harbor Hotel is very nice. We stayed there the second year. Beds and linens were top end as was the rest of the hotel. Overkill when we are hardly there though. Plus rate is more than double.
You want the motel at Seneca Lodge. The cabins are very rustic.
Paul, the Glen is unreal. You will love it. It's a big league track that is awesome fun but deserves respect.

Thanks Peter, I might try to get the wife to come out
First track day at Cayuga last Friday. Every session the smile got bigger. Was a bit apprehensive at first, and took it easy, but the car is very confidence-inspiring. Once more next week, then Mosport in May.
Will get Gianni to check the alignment later this week

Cool... sounds like my experience last year when I first tracked my GT3... my advice, be patient and let the car come to you, and it will!!...don't chase the car.
My car is at Gianni's now!!
