Question Roads Ottawa to Mt Tremblant

Driving up to Mt Tremblant from Ottawa tomorrow for the PCA DE this weekend. Wondering if there is any construction to avoid en-route this year ?

There is a section just after Lac des Plages that was torn up in May. Haven't driven up there since.

I'm heading up tomorrow afternoon as well.

Did you take a different route to avoid it ?

If you aren't too busy, would really appreciate an orientation lap Fri AM ... any chance you would have time to coach me around a few times ? Its been 2 years since I was up to LCMT and that was the only time.

Most of the route has been completed, no major delays, makes for a quicker ride

50 --> 317 --> 321 --> 315 --> 323

See you there!

Last week, a fellow member tipped me off that the 327N was under heavy construction (bumpy gravel roads) for quite a stretch up around the WEIR area. If so, the 329N sounds like a better bet and according to Google maps, yields only a 5 minute stretch over the entire trip.

This Saturday's coffee run, Ian Firth will be travelling this route from Ottawa with about 15 cars. Can you guys please keep us all posted on the road conditions? If we can avoid road construction on Saturday, everyone will be a lot happier with the run.

Is that any faster than the route through Montebello ? Guess it avoids some of the traffic on the 148 ?

I was told this week that the short bit of construction near lac des plages is complete. It is a nice drive from ottawa to tremblant.

So I took the 50 til it ended, then the 317 to 321 to 315 to 323 route ...

There was a stretch of construction on the 317 just a little before St Sixte - they are chewing up the old asphalt and its right down to gravel / sand in some spots. There was another shorter stretch on the 315 I think (can't remember the exact location anymore). The paving just past Lac des Plages appears to be completed but they were still doing some work and had to wait a little while.

My sponsorship (haha jk) money hasn't come in and I Corded my last budgeted set of tires for the year. I think I'm going to extend my budget so I can play in September. We should do the renlist day at mosport!

I'll see you tomorrow, I'm coming up with the coffee run.
