I want to inspect my camshafts for cracks and am looking at alternatives. The shop I spoke to wants $50 to $100 per camshaft. I can get a dye penetrant kit of cleaner, penetrant and developer for about $60 and do it myself. But perhaps someone has a left over kit that I could buy? Or any other suggestions?

I bought a dye pen kit of cleaner, penetrant and developer and was able to inspect the questionable camshaft. No problem found. There is a lot left in the spray cans so if someone needs to use the kit or wants to buy it for a reduced price get in contact.
