Hallandale is a little bit of drive from Lauderdale, but not that far., so yes, it might help the OP with his quest. I know Justin from Butch Stokes' shop located in "the hood" in Hallandale - he is a good guy (he drives an incredibly well-restored, bright orange '65 Mustang - we both suffer from the need to spend zillions of $$ restoring Detroit Metal).



Butch knows his way around a p-car engine too and I understand he comes in from time to time.

Richard Danvers used to get my business, as he had the skillset and was located a 15 minute drive from home, but he closed his shop a few months ago. His shop was off I95 and had a 911 on the side facing the highway. It's now a Doctor's Toystore sub-building.


As I suggested above, find a shop/crew you are comfortable with and have at it. Check out a few shops to see which one(s) suit your needs/personality/budget/time constraints. This is al about having fun. No wrong answers.
