Buying a 2005 911 Miami FL .. Help PPI question
Hello all,
I'm planning to buy my first 911 soon so I've been talking to a dealer about an '05 911 coupe, 45k miles they have in stock. They are asking 39.9k. I've asked if there is a way for me to have a PPI with my own mechanic outside the dealership. The dealer doesn't allow outside PPIs, however they don't mind if I bring a mechanic to inspect the car at their dealership...
What's your take on this?
BTW The car-fax on this car reports 2 owners and no accidents or mayor repairs.
Thanks...

My take is if they don't allow a propper PPI walk away. That just throws up a red flag for me.
That said I use a greal local indy in Miami that may be able to shed some insight on it for you:
Svoboda Motorsport (previously J&W Motorsports)
305-450-7726 ask for William

Ended up buying a 2009 Coupe 6 spd, Artic Silver/black int, came with 19" P-classic wheels , PASM, NAV, Porsche Warranty until 9/2014, oh...and heated seats, which are useless in Miami , Will post pictures soon.

Good thing 39K for a 2005 turbo is way too low, and not allowing a PPI sends up red flags. A proper PPI is more than just a visual, and by bringing someone with you to the dealer takes away from what really needs to be done.
Keep in mind if the car was ever in an accident and never reported and fixed on the side, a Carfax will not reflect the accident. This whole thing was full of red flags.
Hope you got a proper PPI on the coupe. Nice to have a warranty. Make sure you read the fine print, some warranties are null and void if the dealer does not perform the routine maintenance.

The 2005 I was looking at before wasn't a turbo.
Yes, I called Porsche USA with the VIN number and was able to confirm the warranty left on the car.
