I'm new here... but should be up for it on the 29th. Looking for excuses to put break-in miles on the car, and of course... meet other car enthusiasts.

Hey guys, you should cross post in other forums to recruit more people. I used to do the SBBC when I had the 993, glad you guys have started it up again. I'm up for the 29th, will bring the girlfriend. I have since replaced the 993 with a 965

Why on Earth would you do that? I hacked up a perfectly good 965 to make it look like a 993...

I'm also thinking about turning my '73 911S into a '57 Chevy...

Thanks. I didn't think the '57 front end would compliment the lines of the '73, but after all is said and done, it ain't bad.

Why would I sell the 993 to get a 965? Twice the power, looks better (to my eyes), less complicated rear suspension, better gearing, arguably better build quality, etc.

Actually I loved the 993, would definitely own one again. But the 965 is my dream car and I couldn't pass it up.

Oh, don't take me seriously...I'm just bustin' your nutz.

Though I would like a "proper" 993 (TT) someday...just hope the prices come down before they go up.

Some days I regret selling the 993, it was nice not having to worry about valve adjustments. Those cars are really bulletproof. The 965 has also been bulletproof so far, but it's not as simple an engine as the 993 and there's plenty I don't understand about CIS injection that scares me

Anyway the one thing I'll say is, the 993 NA is fun because at least you can run through the gears a little bit on the street. The turbo is so fast you can't really use much of it on the street without risking jail time.

Might have to work Sat. Will know more Fri.

Nonetheless, I'm willing to contribute toward the cost of the hooker's at the after-party.

Seems as though there is enough interest...I say we plan it now! Where do we pre-meet? What time? ...and where the hell is the Key Lime House anyway????
