Since late last week myself and another member have noticed that when uploading an image through the iOS RennList app on ipad or iphone devices the image begins uploading then a pop up error occurs saying:

Parse Error
The remote server sent an unknown response. This could be the result of the forum plugin being outdated. Please contact the forum administrator and let them know there is a problem with the Forum Runner Plugin.

Apparently uploading images via the website is working fine, it's just uploading via the iOS App that's now stopped working.

I've deleted the app and reinstalled... No difference. I've tested it on two ipads and one iphone and a friend has the same problem on his ipad and iphone. We've been using the app for a long long time and using the upload feature regularly.

Another friend said they have the same problem with the android app. They also tried uninstalling and reinstalling. The problem looks to me to be at the server end.

I'm experiencing the same issue; parse error when trying to attach photos from my iPhone or iPad. Have tried reinstalling the app, does not resolve it.

That's a separate problem.

The parse error when uploading photos from the iOS app is still present.

Still doing it on iPhone. Really annoying. Shouldn't be this hard to fix. Hello??!!!!

I had this happen i the past and contacted one of the admins, was told to delete and reinstall... Have tired this several times in my iphone and ipad and still does not work.

Hi everyone,

We are aware of this problem, and our tech team are working on an entirely new app as the solution. We have been beta testing the new app for the last week or so, and are still finding issues with it as well. I don't have a firm timeline as to when we'll be able to release it, but it's coming along and should be here in the near future.

We apologize for the file upload issue, it's affecting all of our communities, not just Rennlist. Please believe me when I say I understand your frustrations!

The 6Speed app has the exact same layout as this one and it works on there.

To fix uploading images with IOS do as follows (thanks to Macca for figuring this out)

There is an alternative version of the app which works.

Go to appstore
Search for ib automotive group
Install this app. 4.5mb

Run the app
Select all forums
Select rennlist (4th down)
Login
Go to current participating threads

You can now upload one photo per post directly from your photos within this version of the app. More than one photo per post crashes the app (black screen).

Delete the "rennlist" app
