I am still seeing the new classifieds format. I can not find anything. The new format is terrible!!

The old one was simple and easy to use!

Now I can't find the old classifieds either. Don't know how I was able to find them a few days ago.

I do not like the new parts finder....too many 'clicks' to be able to see what I want to see!

the new format dosen't work, its basically unuseable. the old format was much better. also these are adds, why do I need replys to adds? that can all be done pm and the add can be updated by the owner.

Is anything being done about all the complaints, or are they being ignored?

Everyone should keep posting on this LINK......so there is a trail illustrating the total dislike for the new classifieds.......

Nobody is being ignored. The simple fact of the matter is the old classifieds, which required an entirely separate login, and a membership number, and ran on an old windows system that was near EOL and often prevented users from logging in, was untenable any longer.

The new system, while not identical, is as close as we could design it to the old setup. This features the huge benefit of being tied to forum accounts, and paid Rennlist member status automatically, meaning there are no more barriers for users to place their items for sale, unlike the old setup.

If you have constructive comments, of possible changes we can make with the new implementation, we are all ears, however this was discussed, and tested, and rolled out very gradually so as to have the least effect possible on all of you.

Judging by the number of positive and negative comments we have received, I feel that we did the best job that we could.

cheers,
robb

Robb,

Simple changes that would make life so much easier would be to categorize them like the old ones so when u want race cars, or race parts or general parts wheels etc I'm not having to go through all the irrelevant junk to find what I'm looking for. Searching is a waste because most people browse the classifieds finding things they are not specifically looking for. I think that's where this current layout fails...miserably...

Hello J Richard.

Using three clicks of the mouse, you are able to see only the cars listed as race cars, here's a link to that search, already saved for you: http://bit.ly/kHLmiT

To achieve this, I visited the cars for sale forum. Then I used the search pane to the right of the screen. I first clicked the option at the bottom to see all search options. Then I used the model type drop down to select 'race cars' and then I clicked search.

Hopefully this description helps a bit, and if there are other questions you have, by all means, please do.

cheers,
robb

Robb, case in point the search you provided me with pulled up two cars...There are far more racecars for sale in the classifieds. I don't want to SEARCH the adds I want to BROWSE the adds. Searching means I have to know what I'm looking for as opposed to finding something I'm interested in. The categories allowed you to do that. As is it's pretty much unusable....

I am still unclear as to why that can't be achieved using the forum then?

you are even able to choose how the entire vehicle forum is sorted. By year, price, color, mileage, etc?
https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...desc&sort=year

cheers,
robb
