Correct way to quote someone in Thread
I must be doing something wrong or I am just a computer dummy.
What is the correct method to quote someone and get it to insert their screen name.
I have been highlighting the words I want to quote . Pressing right click on mouse to copy then paste into my message and wraping their quote in message.
This works but doesnt insert name that I am quoting. I know I am doing something wrong can someone help this dummy

The easy way is to click on the " " in the lower right corner of the post you want to quote. It shows up in your editing box. with the QUOTE in square brakets before ad after the test in the original post. You can edit out the parts you don't need by highlighting and deleting. Don't delete the [QUOTE/] though. Check out the FAQs for even more options

Look in the lower right corner of the post box. There is a small group of icons.
Use the left one to single quote and the middle one to to quote multiple posts.

Its really hard to explain in text. Lets say you are trying to quote your wifes whining. You might want to use a high pitch and even say "Wonk Wonk Wonk" after you have quoted whatever she was bitching about.
Lets say you want to quote the "big guy" at the office that is really the office joke. You may want to use a low tone and rock your head side to side as you say the moronic thing he said earlier.
Lets say you are quoting someone you like. You may want to simply start off with "And as John said, blah blah blah"
Lets say you are just quoting a famous quote like "Go ahead, Make my day" or "I'll be bak" It wouldnt be a bad idea to try to also mimic the accent or tone of the original person saying what you are quoting. (it just adds to the ejoyment for the others around you)
I do hope this helps
