ok, I use netscape (outlook is CRAP) I changed my mail servers to those I received and I can't get mail unless I use the web interface
what's the problem? this migration SHOULD NOT CAUSE ISSUES like this
I understand that IB is a big company, but GMAIL???? PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I have now setup a new account using Thunderbird and it connects but my username and or password is being rejected....

 

Same here. My password is being rejected, and it won't sync with my blackberry. on the same note, my email to the mention help email address has gone unanswered.

 

I hope this is not what we can expect from IB... but considering I posted almost 20 hours ago with NO RESPONSE YET!!!! I'm betting this is just the beginning

I am currently compiling a document to rectify your concerns.
Again, our apologizes, as we admittedly had overlooked a couple of things (in terms of setting up the POP3 download for Thunderbird/Outlook), as well as accessibility for .com/.org e-mail addresses.

no offense here... BUT
considering the size of IB, and the vast# of sites you manage, why are you outsourcing email?
also... considering that you've probably done this multiple times with other sites you've purchased, why didn't you have a plan already in place to resolve these issues? I can't believe we're the 1st ones to ever use T-bird

 

Just found this thread since my rennlist.net account seems to have quit. Does all this mean it is being discontinued?

 

Brandon, i don't think it has been discontinued, its just an incomplete transition.

 

well Tbird FINALLY let me in and coughed up my mail
but now I'm getting copies of EVERYTHING... lovely

 

at least it is progress. I'm still waiting

Adrian sent me the instructions as well. To set up a blackberry now, i need to download an application from gmail that i can not open on a work computer, so, i'm stuck. Seems i'll need to find a new email to use. oh well.

Sorry I didn't answer your call last night - I was busy writing a lot of e-mail... Anyway - here's what I'll do for you.. PM your login/password for both your gmail accounts (rennlist.com & net) - unless you only use one (typically the COM).. What I'll do is create an e-mail account for you on my server - and forward your mail to your new account there (which has worked for you for years)...

It makes changing your e-mail a snap - as folks will still be sending to your rennlist account - but you'll be replying with your new account/new domain, so they can replace your old e-mail address with your new one..

And oh yea - what do you want for your account name under reutterwerk.com/net??
