I am trying to upload my first photo and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I try to to upload the file and I am informed that it is too big. I checked the file properties. It was in the 850 KB area. Max allowed is 200 KB. So I cropped the photo as much as I could and I'm still left with 375KB. I've seen what appear to me to be much larger pictures being displayed, so it's something that I don't know or something I'm doing wrong. Camera is a 3 megapixel.

It's the file size, Lex, rather than the physical dimesnions.

You need some imaging software to compress it or reduce the quality a little.

You can email it to me if you wish and I'll do it for you -

Thanks John, but I've got to learn how to do this, both for now and in the future. I'll look at my photo software to see if it allows me to compress it.

Save the image as a jpeg rather than a bitmap - really reduces the file size.
