Is there any special reason why the ability to size words and pick a font are no longer available?

You can still do it, just takes extra steps.

Wrap your text in quotes by selecting the quote button, then change the words "quote" to "size". The first one has to say "size=" followed by a number and the last one should have a "/" slash in front. Or you could just type out the square brackets "[ ]"
