This questioned was answered by IB in the Help forum.

Pictures have been deleted from the Random Picture thread. These deleted pictures take up a "page". If the thread continues and more inappropriate pictures are deleted, there may be two missing pages.

Don't shoot me, I'm answering the question.

I would find the exact post but this is not my worry.

Meh. I have better things to do with my time. If they break the forum by making it a pain to use, then I'll just stop using it. I'm probably wasting too much time creating ad-bringing clicks for them anyway.

I tolerated advertising and saw no compelling need for installing adblock before this 'improvement', but now I've installed it because of the 'improvement' in advertising with the new format.

So is it just me or has IB somehow created the reply window, both with quick reply and advanced, and removed the right-click "paste" or "copy" from the menu?

Must not be normal in MacOS so they figured they should just remove what is a normal functionality from everyone else.

ctrl-v still works, but I have to be honest, I don't recall any other website removing such basic functionality from a text input window.

And yeah, saying they have a new interface, if you want to try it early do this.... then make it a global change for everyone site wide the next day.

I need to find a book web development for dummies and send it off to IB corporate.

LOL wait, you can get it to come back. I just tried it before I posted this and it was there. But what do you need to do to get it. After much trial and effort I found what you need to do to change the right click menu./

Hit enter twice.

WTF

No, but I had a rather lengthy discussion with the wall here in front of me.

Same effect.

Another repeatable issue.

Why so much clutter and repeated functionality in the header. Why not a simplified, non duplicated header that looks good, works well and doesn't take up so many pixels forcing most content below the fold.

And why announcement thread above sticky thread

I mean really. at 1200x1600 or 1920x1080 there is more than six inches of screen taken up with twaddle before you get to content.

Sid, can you take a screenshot of what you're referring to? The header is no where near six inches of screen space here on my Mac.

cheers,
robb

This is my 17" laptop screen. 1/2 of the vertical space is header, and I get to see all of one post without scrolling. Then again, my resolution is something silly, 1600 x 900
It's not a floating header, so when I scroll down, it's gone completely

Copy/paste of news articles retains the source size, so headlines are often ridiculously large. Text sizing is gone, so I have to manually tag the text to resize.
On the plus side, the strikeout is nice and image uploading seems improved.

edit: and for you nosy, dirty-minded people looking at my open tabs, "menage a trois" is a web comic / cartoon, not a pr0n site.
Granted, it;s about sex, gay sex, gender fluid people, etc., but it's technically not pr0n

My remedy for large font headlines that transfer with copy/paste is to post then edit.

No need to resize the large font. Simply savng the non-editted post will suffice.

I can try, but because of the unique way you have posted it is difficult.
Mty first attempt in the reply box I get this.
If I click enter twice I get this.

Of course with the new image uploader I an't browse to the files I need, I had to drag and drop, I hope this come across in a way that you can determine the issue, but I've had to spend a lot of time to work around Rennlist "Features" to post this at all.

What do you mean you can't browse? This is what I get when I click the 'image' upload button (which needs relabeling as it uploads all files now).

cheers,
robb

Since Rob is monitoring this thread, here is another ongoing problem since the format change.

Instead of uploading screenshots, an example will hopefully suffice.

I post a message then an image.

Once the post is posted an error is noticed in the body of the message, above the image.

Using the EDIT function, I am able to place the cursor on the word needing correcting and when the keypad is used, this part of the message disappears behind a window.

If you were to try this yourself, it may become clear. I use an iPad.

I am without iPad at the moment, but will test this ASAP. What version of iOS are you running and what version iPad do you have? Thank you for the report.
