I wouldn't count on IB making any changes to the side bar. Not sure what the the issue is. Do you not like seeing the side bar?

Hey Mark...yes...It used to be "hide-able". Hidden was great for every day browsing, then un-hide it for a specific search. It takes up a lot of real estate on the page.

Obviously not the end of the world, but as a software engineer it really pains me when good features disappear for "updates". :-)

I hear you on the "update" thing. I hate the auto drop down menus; I call them the "IB meat curtain of black death".

I had no idea the menus could be hidden. I don't shop too much on the classifieds. Sorry for any inconvenience.
