2007 C-2 a/c
hello all
new to the forom and glad to be hear.
i just bought my first porsche 997 C-2, the day i got the car was a cold day and i did not test the A/C my Bad...few days a go it got warm and i turned it on warm air so i stoped by a A/C place to check the freon it was full, the guy told me he is going to check the compressor and found out that there is no power going in there so he called the local porsch dealer and he was told to check the relay box behind the back seat, there it was a bad relay so he installed another once he turned the key on my cc panel went blank!!!!!
now i dont have any controller.i took the car to mayo performance who works on porsche they cleared all errors but computer could not read the unit, i was told to buy a used and they will install it...next day i called another independent repair shop and i am told not to do it that the car has to go to dealer to use a new one since it has to get new softwere installed...is this correct? over $2000 is there any other way to do this?
