Default Youtube videos --problems viewing

When YouTubes are posted in a thread on rennlist, they show up as a grey box on my iPad and I can only watch them by clicking the video name at the top and watching from within the youtube site. I can't get them to play at all inside the thread. Anyone know how to fix that?

Separately, on my Windows 7 laptop, the same videos will play inside a thread, but they are all white washed, like someone turned the brightness **** up way too high. I've tried playing with accelerator settings in flash, but it hasn't helped. Anyone know how to fix that?

My initial suggestion is to try a different browser.

What browser(s) are you running on the iPad and laptop?

I'm using the latest updated Explorer 11.09.xxx on the laptop and iOS 7 /safari on the iPad. Also updated Flash just now on the laptop and no change. I tried it using Chrome on the laptop, and that does work -- so what settings/issues might be unique to Explorer? And isn't everyone using iOS 7 these days?

Ok, updating to iOS 7.06 fixed the iPad.

Still stumped on the laptop. Reinstalled latest flash and confirmed explorer is latest version on Microsoft site. Disabled the accelerator in Flash. Confirmed video driver is latest available. Still shows washed out YouTubes...

Explorer typically is very buggy and the most problematic browser.

Firefox and Chrome are far superior.
