Default Access Issues : Internal Server 500 Error when accessing via VPN

Has something changed in the server config?

I've been able to access via my corporate VPN service for months (actually years)...for some reason, something has changed where I can no longer access Rennlist when I have my VPN client running (actually, I also cannot access Ford-Trucks.com which is also an IB site).

If I disable the VPN, I can connect fine...if I re-enable the VPN session, I can't connect.

Thanks much,

Rick

Hi Rick,

I am not aware of anything, however if you're experiencing the same issue on Ford-Trucks, something must have changed on our end. Do you know when this issue first began for you? Do you use Facebook, gmail, or yahoo to login, or do you use the traditional username/password method?

cheers,
robb

Robb,

I believe it started right around the first of the month. My sense is that it's MTU negotiation related...if I force my MTU to a lower number, it will work. If I reset it to auto-negotiation, it won't work. I'm still looking at things on my end as well.

Thanks,

Rick

Hey Rick,

I've checked with the tech guys on our end, and nobody is aware of any changes on our end, which would have caused this to happen. Are you able to find out if perhaps something changed on your end?

cheers,
robb

I'm still checking...I haven't found anything yet.

Thanks,

Our network guys keep telling me that nothing has changed on our VPN setup (Cisco router) - but it clearly appears to be MTU related.

If I do a ping test, I can increase packet size up to 995 bytes with success...as soon as I increase it to 996 bytes, I cannot get the ping test to complete.

Hey guys! Sorry for bumping an old thread but what is the best VPN service now? Would be appreciative of any recommendations! Thanks in advance!
