An update.

Thanks to Robb M. for working through the issues. How I deal with the issues, for the most part ,is to aesses the menus needed by opening in another iPad window. Window based systems one just clicks on word like Private messages.

Also the Safari Mobile OS will not let one post pics in Rennlist. Bad on Apple.

Wow - fun thread. I'll put my q here just to keep the uniqueness that is IPad problems alive.

My Ipad2 works quite well on RL since th changes made in Dec which sorted out some of the issues above I think. All good for last 2 months. What started happening in the last few days is that half way thru typing a post the typing stops working and while I can still scroll around and hide and Unhide my keypad, and while letters pressed still register by going dark, the letters don't show up on the post. I then have to close safari or go to email, do something else, then come back and try again and it sometimes works. Just now, while replying to a pm, I could even insert smilies but not type. Wierd. It just happened now again. I zoomed in and out and moved cursor around a bit and here I am again. Its a bit like when on a PC you mistakenly press the insert button but in this case nothing happens instead of typing over stuff. It feels more liek a pad problem than a site problem. is this my iPad creaking as it fills up - I have 31 g filled of my 32 - or is this perhaps an error others have encountered??

Try downloading FireFox mobile for iPad. Much better browser that should fix your problems.

Thanks Randy - I have Atomic but since the tab enabling upgrade in safari have been using S again. I dont think Mozilla made a FF for Ipad - can't see Firefox on app store - Or is it called ibrowser?

I am trying to see if I can get the same issue to happen on my ipad, but it doesn't seem to want to freeze up.

Hmmm. How long a response does it usually freeze up on you during?

Maybe if you go into your usercp and change the editor settings to a different end, the issue will resolve itself?

I am going to add some smilies and see if that. Causes anything else to break here?



Everything still seems to work well, I am having a hard time figuring out your issue

thanks Rob - understand its hard to replciate, hard to fix. It seems to have something to do with the screen zzoming. It doesn't freeze ie I can mouse around - its just the typing freezing ie in the response pane (like where I am now). What browser do you reco by the way?
