OK, who won (the wheels, not the race...)? I did get Webber right, but was 7 minutes off the time. Forgot they reconfigured the track (that's my excuse anyway).

Although using my formula, I still would have been off by about 3 seconds.

I guess one thing I've gotten out of this is learning that the race length is based upon minimum laps to complete at least 305KM (about 188 miles). Monaco race is the only exception.

Ok, I think you guys have already found the winner, but I have to examine the list of potential winners.

In this thread of ~330 posts, 23 of you guessed a race time of 1hour, 24minutes and some seconds. Of those 23, only 9 also selected a winning driver. Of those 9, only 1 person guessed the correct winner too. Not sure if your time is the winner yet though, Garth S.

It looks like the winning guess was only 2.764 seconds off the winning time. Pretty impressive considering the guess was made long before any practice runs were turned on the freshly re-designed course!

2nd place was only 3.124 seconds off, meaning our margin of victory was only 0.36 seconds!!! Far, far tighter than any Formula 1 race has been in quite some time

I am not sure how you did it, but congratulations Marc, you were the winning entry, with a difference of less than 3 seconds from the actual race time, on a brand new course!

Hang on, the time I spec'd was 1.23 so how is that off the mark.

Hi Jim, the winning time was 1hour 24minutes 38seconds 200milliseconds.

A guess of 1hour 23minutes is quite a bit further away than a guess of 1hour 24minutes 40 seconds 964millseconds.
