Curious about words under name

Ok, above your Avatar but under your name, there is a comment such as "Addict" etc. I see some people have comical comments. Who makes these? Is it something a member can change on his/her own?

You can change it by going to User CP and clicking on EDit Details.

Bob,

If you want to change the designation of "Addict" to something else, I think you have to contact a moderator; normal users/members do not have the ability to make this change.

I usually just ask people if they would like something and set it for them...although I have given a few people 'surprise' titles that just seemed to fit.
