I've tried to change my avatar picture a few times in the User CP.
Shrunk the image size to way below 30K and still it won't change.
Is there another step other than saving changes after selecting file?

In the avatar management area of the User CP:

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 300 by 300 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

Is your avatar within those parameters?

Thought it was a 30Kb limit.
But I got it to work. I was clicking on the wrong thing.
