Having trouble figuring out how to update to member status
#63
I paid when I joined a few months back and I would rather not waste my time but apparently the "Rennlist Member" status is worshipped around here so can someone please fix my status or explain to me why I'm "just a User". number 070825-7302

Apparently your membership came in without an email address so there was no way to locate you on the forums to update your status. Now that we can locate you, your status has been updated.
Have a good evening,

I am also having trouble adding pictures to a response message.
The "attach image" icon asks for a URL for the image location- this implies to me that the images need to be residing on a server somewhere. My images are on my hard drive- and I don't think the path to my C: drive will find the images for the web. Can't you just embed an image in the body of the message?
Assistance would be appreciated. I have tried and tried to get this to work and am wondering if I have to be a paying member to post images to a forum??
Any assistance available? Got my '87 Targa stolen and wanted to put out an APB to members and users of the site.
Also I updated my profile to use a custom avatar, but don't see it in the preview.
Thanks-

When making a post or replying to a post....
Select the "Go Advanced" button
Type your message
Click "Manage Attachments"
Click "Browse"
select your picture file (either 640 x 480 or 800 x 600 is good and under 140 kb)
Click "Upload"
Click "Close this window"
Click "Submit Reply"
Also, You do not have to be a Member to post pictures to a thread, just to upload them to your own personal Rennlist web space.
good luck,
-Jenn

Hi Jenn. I renewed my membership about 3 weeks ago with Paypal. It had been switched to "user" status--my bad--I thought it was automatic renewal.
Thanks for your help. RL # 050725-6470 dmw44 dmw44@hotmail.com
Thanks again, Doug Werth

Thanks Doug!!! Yep - sometimes it's automated (like if you use the Forum to automate) - but for others (the majority of folks, BTW!) - it's still a manual process for Jenn..
Anyway - our thanks for your patience and continued support!!
