Is it possible to restrict the scope of "New Posts?"

Is it possible to restrict the scope of "New Posts?"
i.e., I want to click on "New Posts" and just get the new posts from a subset of forums (i.e., not OT).
As far as I can tell, the only way to do it is to let my membership lapse - that way I'll get rid of seeing at least some of forums that I have no interest in.
