Please tell me the secret on how to keep the search mode on the 928 forum only. I tried to save the search preference but it does not work.

 

You mean so you dont have to go to advanced every time? Thats what I do. Just click advanced and in the lower right part of the screen you will see the option...

 

Yeah I just tried it. You are right, the save prefs does not work. I clicked on 928 forum, then clicked save prefs and go, then was redirected back to the search page with 928 already highlighted. Then, I went to the forum, clicked on search, typed "euro" and got results in all forums, not just 928. hmmm....

 

If, on the main forum screen, you look at the right hand corner of the frame that contains all the threads, right under the page numbers bar, you'll see "Search this forum". I generally just use that. Of course, if want to do a more advanced search, I guess you just have to use the main search page. And no, my search preferences don't work or save either!

 

In the past I could do a search and it would search the 928 forum unless I click on advanced to specify other forums.

 

I'll move this to the Help forum so JD can see it and correct it if there is a problem.

 

As far as I know its never worked - certainly it didn't work just before the latest server upgrades - I tried it over a year a go and concluded it didn't work and just left it... I usually use the "Search This Forum" link too - but doesn't help if you need advanced search features..
