I've got a for sale ad I'd like to edit, but the edit button seems to be missing. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated!

I noticed that the edit button is missing recently as well when I went to update my build thread.

 

I think it locks after a period of time ?!???

 

there is a 45 day limit on editing. because you created the listing in August, I have closed it you are welcome to start a new listing.

 

What is the reason for making this so inconvenient? Expire the ad like ebay don't just close it for editing and make us rewrite the ad. Now I remember why I don't bother trying to sell here more.

 

The 45 day limit was implemented after some folks used the edit tool to destroy content.

 

I would also like to edit an ad that I posted last week. There is no edit button that I can find. Can you please advise?

 

it says 'edit listing' in the marketplace.

 

Can you be more specific? I see a link to create a listing on the marketplace main page. No option to edit my listing there. Then when I follow the link to my own listing, I do not see an option to edit a listing there.

Seems this is something other members also have issues doing.

 

apologies the edit option is under 'listing tool' once inside your own pre-existing listing.

See the thread above -- it's been more than 45 days since your thread was created, so you cannot edit it. Closing and reopening the ad is the best option.
