WAY cool. I was hoping you would have some examples. Generally you have to be a member and typically I am not. One thing for sure the database needs to be limited to paying member only. I am sure some will be concerned about the problems associated with having the VIN on the internet for all to see, by making it members only I suspect less people will complain. I have this topic on the 944 board. Can you make it a ADMIN post at the top of the 944 and 944 Turbo boards, so we can get ideas from the group as a whole?

just have it record 'official' data, like VIN, option #'s, color code, etc. Also would be fun to list (when available) place of original sale and current residence.

You'll want to make it searchable (listed in order by VIN) by model year, model and trim level, etc.

I would do it similarly, but make each 'entry' clickable with followup data like options, etc. It would be really fun to make this something like pcaronline and allow users to upload pictures, or at least a link to a 'homepage'.
