New member, waiting for moderator to approve post
I joined last night to ask a question about how to value my late husband’s car before selling it. I posted to the 968 forum and got a page saying my post was awaiting approval by a moderator. Not sure how long that takes, but I see others posting, so I thought I’d do a test post here.
Do mods approve all new threads, or the first post by each new member? Just curious what to expect.

Ok, new question. Someone sent me a PM with some info (thank you!) but I don’t see a reply button. It says my inbox contains 2 messages of 0 allowed. When I signed up, I chose the free level and it appeared that would allow me a limited number of PMs.
Is is it possible something’s wrong with my account, causing my other post to disappear and me to not be able to send PMs? I would like to thank this user and reply to what they said.

Thanks for the info @996AE! My other post appears to have disappeared into the ether. I'll try it again on that form but in case anyone is reading here:
From the links @996AE shared and an article posted to the 968 forum about valuing 968s and similar models, I think this car is probably worth around $10-12k in a private sale. What might I expect a dealer to pay? I don't know the typical difference/markup.
It's a 1993 black 968 cabriolet, 130k miles, in good condition / up to date mechanically. Top works great. Exterior has some kind of special enamel finish that never needs waxing (and looks great), but small crack on back bumper. Interior has typical wear after 24 years but everything works. Newish radio (CD, USB, aux, but no bluetooth) and fancy 1993-era speakers/subwoofer that sound great. My husband was its first owner and kept records from most of the work (spotty from 93-02 then I think everything is there). In the mid-90s this car was in some kind of accident that required body work (hence the special paint finish) but I'm not sure what happened. The Carfax says no accidents.
