Default GT3 forum hacked

The GT3 forum has obviously been hacked. Hopefully you're aware and a fix is being worked on?

It has not been hacked. A human being registered a number of accounts, and has used them to add spam threads all over the place. I repeat this is not a hack, it's a human spammer.

This new guy posted over 150 messages in a short period of time. Isn't there a way to throttle new accounts so this doesn't happen?

"hacked" was a figure of speech. I do however take your point.

As robmypro asks: "Isn't there a way to throttle new accounts so this doesn't happen?"

This site is using vbulletin. Not sure what options the guys have with this software. I know they can create a group for new users, and not allow them to create a new thread until they have posted like 5 times, or 5 days have passed, but not sure they want that limitation.

Same issue on the 993 forum - last night and again this evening.

What's the point of this crap? Why does someone take this time to do this?
