Someone will pay it.
I offered him very slightly less only because:
I bought my zero mile, better equipped black one for less and sold it with 3k kms. for less, and
I already have a riv blue one.
It's prolly best as I would have destroyed this poor car with 4.2 kit, exhaust and shorter gearing.

Porsche Oakville had a white '16 with buckets recently for $149k and it sold within 1 week. Original MSRP $118k. Crazy pricing for non-GT cars but so long as people with lots of $ are willing to pay, that's the price of entry.

Wow... that makes me wonder if I should keep this thing ? Better investment than the TSX these days...

Was kicking back this evening reflecting on all the Porsche Douchery that has seen the nicer new GT cars become unattainable, even to ready cash buyers.
GT4's, optioned to the hilt with rubbish, sold to buyers with no concept of their intended purpose and quickly flipped to the next rube at or above MSRP. I don't know anyone that expects to recoup sales tax (that needs to be paid again on transfer), or a front end wrap, etc. Supply and demand, capitalism, I get it. Crazy - not the seller, but the buyers.
Also seen it before. Markets are high, VIX is low, borrowing is cheap - which is fun while it lasts. Markets correct very quickly, even more so for discretionary items with pricing that didn't make sense to start with.
Carry on.

And to the OP, this is not about you or your car (gorgeous!) - just observations on the reality of the current market and Porsche's chosen marketing strategy to screw it's longest standing supporters.
GLWS - beautiful car.

Spyders are considered GT cars. Thats what they told me anyway.
They also seem to not like the flipping either, but could be more marketing,

Fact is that dealers are showing may be 30 used GT3 RS in their pre-owned inventory but you can probably count the available Spyders on the fingers of one hand. May be the new shifter GT3 is the reason for this but Spyder owners stick to them much more.

yup, take a look at the Pfaff pre-owned inventory. I lost track counting the GT cars they have for sale. It's already July. How many people are going to be itching to buy an RS in November, especially at the ludicrous prices they are asking. When you control the available inventory, you can of course set the asking price, but there are only so many fools out there.
