How long is too long
I placed an order from a vendor on this forum over 2 weeks ago. He verified he had it in stock and said it was shipped 2 weeks ago. He gave me a tracking number that was not valid. He has not given me one after asking several times. I used Visa so I know Im covered. Oh this is the second time I have tried ordering fom him I should mention. Product was supposedly not in stock.
I wont mention the vendor as I am hoping he will rectify things today. Am I being unreasonable? Or has it been too long?

Vendor replied, left off part of the tracking number and all is good.......all could have been avoided if he had of just gave me the tracking number when I told him the first one did not work. Package should arrive shortly.

If you ordered from the US through USPS , there have been a lot of shipping problems with them recently ...
I had ordered some stuff from Lindsey Racing, shipped same day with tracking number
and all and it seems the order hit the Bermuda Triangle in Jamaica,NY , neither Lindsey or i could
get a straight answer from USPS as to what happened !
They had a few issues with some Canadian orders , although Lindsey pulled through and resent my order free of charge !

I just had a similar experience recently with USPS. The tracking numbers shows that the vendor dropped it off on June 5th in California. There has been absolutely no updates on tracking since then until today. I finally got a tracking update today (June 28th). It is now at Canada Customs after travelling for 3 weeks with no updates. I hope to get it soon. I contacted the vendor several times over the last two weeks to get an update and they informed me that USPS has been having these issues frequently in the last few months.

I feel better now. Ordered something out of California. It was dropped off June 14 and has seemingly sat idle in Los Angeles until two days ago when it went to Louisville, Hamilton and then Toronto. Today it's back in Los Angeles!!

Oh no don't tell me that. Mine is coming from California too. It says it has cleared customs and is on its way for final delivery

I recently had a tow hook attachment shipped USPS from California that cleared customs fairly quickly, then disappeared in the Canada Post system for over a month. Tracking number just showed it sitting in Richmond. Seller refused to do anything even though they were responsible for shipping. It eventually arrived, but the shipping process was around 6 weeks total.

I, too, recently had parts take weeks longer than expected to do the USPS -> Canada Post thing. I wonder what's going on there.

Once, I ordered coca cola (or some such thing) to be shipped in a shampoo bottle from vancouver. Someone from some gov't agency called and asked me to pick it up. It's still there.
I ordered an Italian flag badge for my 458 spider a month ago. It still hasn't shipped.
