Scan Automotive in North Van is the best. Know these cars inside out. Fair and honest and the only place my car goes.

PM me if you want owners contact info.

My cars only go to Scan.

If the car is in the valley Turn 3 is good option.

If in Vancouver proper is a must Blitzkrieg is good.

The seller is blitzkreig, they aren't too receptive to the idea of a ppi elsewhere... how comfortable would local guys feel with their representations/assurances?

Thats nonsense.

"We just did the PPI and the car is better than perfect! Its so perfect we want to raise the price of the car, but because we are honest we will honor the deeply discounted price we originally offered you for 24hours."

Id NEVER EVER trust a conflicted PPI. If they dont want an independent set of eyes to PPI it, move on. If it is a good car they will cave because they want to sell it.

What are the concerned about, that an independent shop will have an eye that is too picky? PERFECT!

Id move on if they wont let someone else PPI it - they will change their mind.

Thats not far from my work and if you're looking at the 996TT in their inventory and you're not local, I can probably swing by and put some eyes on the car for you if that's helpful.

I have a 996TT so I know what to look for.

Is it a local car with years of service records from them? Or is it a car they imported or picked up at auction and just did their own PPI on it? They are a reputable garage, but this expanding their business into selling used cars is new.

Bottom line is if they won't allow you an independent PPi and they hand you their assessment, it's not different than not having a PPI.

I'll comment they are a good shop, however not letting you ppi it at another respected local shop is very unreasonable.

Unless it's a car you must have and very special etc, I would pass.

Are they actually priced below market, seems like a sales pitch?

I would have no problem buying a 996 if PPI from Blitzkreig, Scan or MB Euromotors.

I have no experience with Scan, the shop, but have met the owner recently and would not hesitate a minute to take a car there.
