I may need to respray the front bumper on my 993 (need to see it first) and wondered what you guys paid for this job and is there a shop that you would recommend? thanks!

between $300 and $1000 make sure they remove the bumper and use lots of flex in the paint.
depending how bad it is they may be able to do just a blow job on part of the bumper only.

I was told by Michael at Michaelangelo's (now closed) that there is a flexible one stage paint for bumpers which makes the job less expensive.

While the bumper cover is out and before reinstalling it, you may want to replace the black weatherstrip rib along the upper edge of the cover. If you do, make sure that the body shop does not glue it to the bumper cover but uses stainless steel stapples (like the Porsche factory did)

I had 3 quotes to repair a small crack and paint on my 996TT last summer and they were between $1,200 and $1,400. Most of it labour for re and re.

Thanks guys. I got good pics of it last night and while it isn't terrible, it's not great either. I'm going to try and touch it up first and if that doesn't work, I may try and have the worst spot blended.

I have a great shop in Milton that's doing my complete 964 rebuild. Top notch work with reasonable rates. Let me know if you need their contact info

$900 cash for repair (two cracks from idiot in parking lot) and front splitter respray.

Currently off the road waiting for bumper to come back so cleaned out my front rad's, (holy s**t!) Porsche's are better vacuum cleaners than Dyson's!

Might be cheaper and more convenient to get it done in So Cal than dragging it up to Canada. ;-)

I paid about $700 at Vaughn Fine Touch for a 996 bumper with minor damage complements of a non attentive driver. I removed/replaced the bumper to reduce the labor cost.
