I don't have any information on this car, but I can tell you that Pfaff gave me $31k + HST as TRADE VALUE for my 2003 cobalt blue C4S with 126k KM last summer. SO this car listed for sale @ $30k seems like an absolute deal, provided of course it doesn't have any skeletons in its closet.
If this car checks out, has no stories, repairs or paint then yes I would absolutely say this is a steal. PPI is critical on these cars though, and you should find out whether the IMS bearing has been upgraded. Include boroscope of the cylinders as part of the PPI, cylinder scoring is just as common as IMS bearing failure and will also result in you needing a $30K engine rebuild.
I'd say go have a look, check the carproof, schedule a PPI and if all is clear, buy it for the asking price. The 996 C4S is an amazing car - very analog, just a great driver's car. Good luck!

Seems like all 911s are increasing in value, even the 996s. History repeats itself and I feel they'll end up in the 993 category eventually; just a matter of time.
