2017 GTA Drive/Show Dates
Gents,
I'm looking to put together a monthly cars & coffee for enthusiasts in my neighbourhood, but I want to avoid days that larger events are happening.
Some of the larger events I can think of are:
- Marques d'Elegance
- Yorkville Exotic Car Show
- Italian Car Day
Any others I should think of while planning?
Thanks,
-Geoff

Well don't forget we already have a cars and coffee every Saturday of the year 10-1pm apporox.
There is also the 905 cars and coffee.
The longhoods meet on a Saturday also.
I guess it will depend where your neighbourhood is.

Here are some more events:
• The PCA UCR open house is Sunday April 30th.
• Porsche Centre Oakville throws a season opener and season ender Porsche & Coffee ~ dates are usually announced a few weeks before, but this always happens on a Saturday morning.
• Annual Toronto Porsche 993 Gruppe Meet ~ TBD but most likely a Saturday in early June
• First Annual Aircooled cruise (September)
• Engineered Automotive Cars n' Coffee ~ every first Sunday of the month (during driving season) This is a true C&C; all types of interesting cars attend.
There is always a lot happening. People find what they like and stick to it. Some go DE-ing, others sip coffee in a parking lot, others go hoon the twists at crack of dawn. Organize your meet and people will come regardless of conflicts. This has been my experience over the last few years of putting together group activities outside of the standard GTG.

FYI: The Saturday GTGs will most likely alternate locations like last year. It seemed to work out well and gave people who normally wouldn't attend, the chance to come out.
I'm still hoping that someone will organize a spring fun run; I thought I'd be able to pull one together this year, but it would require me to be home for more than 72 hrs at a stretch and not testing legroom on Air Canada! These used to be a great way to kick off Porsche season!
