That's funny as I was just at CT yesterday and they had all their Mobil1 on clearance sale. I know they had big jugs of 0w40 and didn't see 5w40 but wasn't looking that closely

Went CTC, they have some Mobil One on sale. They have synthetic Mobil One 10w30 and 5w30. Looked at jugs but they don't list Porsche or BMW? Found some 1 liter 5w30 that list Porsche Bmw, but 16.?? a liter?
Can we use the on sale in our vehicles? Or do we need they oil with Porsche listed?

the big jugs of 0w40 was on sale as mentioned. At least at the CT at Lakeshore and Leslie. It is Porsche approved
if you want to read about approved oils there is more then you could ever want to read about on the 997 board and prob the 991 board as well. Trust me

WalMart in the US, even with the exchange rate its way cheaper than Canadian prices.....
Fortunately I have to drive to the US regularly for work so I don't have to make a special trip.

I read somewhere on here that the M! formulation is different between US and Canada/ROW. Cannot confirm, and can't find the thread, maybe someone else can remember.

Stick to an A40 approved premium brand (or the oil spec specific to your model) in the grade your owners manual recommends and enjoy.
PS the global list of approved brands for the A40 spec is fairly long.
