Glad he won, in spite of "everything".....there's a very spirited thread about the race on the R&DE forum; interesting reading.

Congrats to Nico Rosberg. I'm glad he is world champion. Yes, Lewis Hamilton is naturally a bit faster than Nico overall in terms of talent, but Nico has been very consistent the entire season, and beat Hamilton straight up in several races this year.

He's not that slow either, as Nico won the DHL award for the most fastest laps this season.

Nico has been with Mercedes-AMG from the very beginning when they were non-competitive, and he's helped the team all through those years before Mercedes-AMG became competitive. Lewis joining the team and replacing Schumacher changed the dynamic instantly, and Nico has been the unofficial "number 2" in the eyes of many given Lewis' natural talent. So glad this "number 2" takes the top prize this year.

^ You have to admit that it made for a great conclusion to an already decent F1 season.

Maybe, but a true dick would have allowed him along side and run him wide in a "racing incident". As a dick move, at least it was a sporting dick move Would have been an exciting race should dit have gone 5 laps longer.

That only works if the dick is ahead in points and a DNF for both him and the person being run wide results in the dick winning the championship a la Senna, Prost or Schuey, not the other guy. If I were in Nico's shoes, I would have taken Lewis out once he started backing him up... drive into him hard enough to break his rear supsension and be done with it. While there was nothing illegal in what Lewis did, it was extrememly unsporting... certainly no less unsporting than Nico would have been attempting to pass Lewis because he was driving too slowly and taking both of them out in the process.

Wonder if there is more going on that caused his retirement?

Lewis should ask for his mechanics back haha
