I think the the C4 & C5 looked like crap. C6 wide body was quite an improvement and C7 is just wicked looking.

i.e. a 991 Carrera is very slightly smaller and significantly lighter than a C7 Z06.
And don't even get me started on just how godawful ugly the new Corvettes are.
I think if your going to get into a big car, it might as well have better performance and for less money. Which the C7 Z06 does in spades, hell even a C7 is on par with the 991

My 2 cents....

The 991(Panamera Coupe) is a great daily sports car, and ticks all the boxes. But for a weekend fun car, no chance. There is absolutely nothing special about the 991 unless its a GT3. 90% of the 991 owners now will not own their 991s in 5 years because the next 911 will be the latest and greatest. I guess it depends what your looking for out of the 991. Daily, Yes. Classic, No. If you want something more modern buy a 997 GTS.

Agreed on the C7 looking like complete garbage, theres a vent on every panel on the car. Over styled and wont last the test of time design wise.

I have no disagreement with the C7 on the basis of performance or price. And I fully realize that my opinion on its looks is just a subjective opinion that not everyone shares.

I was simply pointing out that choosing the C7 over a 991 based on the notion that the 991 is too big makes no sense as the Corvette is actually larger and heavier.

People buy cars for all kinds of reasons other than performance and price, even sports cars. Styling, build quality, social status/image, previous brand experience, driving experience and reliability to name just a few. Hell, I'm driving a 20 year old Porsche which doesn't even come close to a C6 or C7 Corvette in terms of performance. I could easily afford to sell it and buy a Corvette. Would I ever do that? Not a chance.

Thank you!
Plus there's the problem that somebody you know might see you in one.
